Security Task Management
Vulnerabilities don't fix themselves, someone has to own them. The Attack Surface Center's task management keeps security work visible, assigned, and tracked in the same platform where findings are created, without adding another tool to your stack.

Security work, tracked in one place
Security findings that aren’t tracked to resolution tend to linger. Task management closes the gap between discovery and remediation by giving every finding a clear owner, deadline, and status.
Clear ownership
Every task has a defined owner and assignees, ensuring there's no ambiguity about who is responsible for resolving each issue.
Cross-team visibility
Security, development, and operations teams can all see the same task board - reducing the back-and-forth that slows remediation down.
In-context collaboration
Comments and discussions live on the task itself, keeping all relevant context in one place rather than scattered across emails and chat threads.
Priority based on risk
Task priority is informed by the risk scores and severity of linked vulnerabilities, helping teams focus on what matters most.
See Your Tasks at a Glance
The Tasks page gives you a filterable view of all security tasks across your organisation - your own tasks, your team's tasks, and everything in between. Sort by status, priority, assignee, or due date to find what needs attention right now.
- Powerful filtering: Filter tasks by status, priority, assignee, due date, or linked vulnerability to focus on the right subset at any moment.
- Multiple views: Switch between a table view for detailed management and a summary view for a quick health check across all open work.
- Due date tracking: Deadlines are visible across the task list, making it easy to identify overdue tasks or work at risk of slipping.
Create and Manage Security Tasks
Each task captures everything needed to take a finding from open to resolved: description, owner, assignees, due date, status, and a full comment thread. Tasks can be linked to specific vulnerabilities, assets, or risks for full traceability.
- Structured task detail: Tasks include a description, owner, assignees, due date, status, and comment section - giving everyone the context they need to act.
- Status workflow: Move tasks through Open → In Progress → Completed → Cancelled as work progresses, keeping the status view accurate for the whole team.
- Linked to findings: Link tasks directly to vulnerabilities, assets, or risks so the remediation effort is always traceable back to its source.
Comment, Discuss, and Stay Aligned
Remediation is rarely straightforward. Questions come up, context gets added, decisions get made. The task comment thread keeps all of that in one place, attached to the task itself, so nothing gets lost in Slack or email.
- Threaded discussion: Reply directly to comments within a task to keep discussions organised and easy to follow, even as a task evolves over time.
- Progress updates: Team members can add context, blockers, or progress notes as comments to provide a running log of remediation activity.
- Real-time notifications: Get notified of comments, status changes, and assignments so you're always aware of updates to tasks you're involved in. Notifications can be routed to Slack on Advanced plans.
What's Coming
Task management is an evolving part of the platform. Here's what's on the roadmap to make it even more useful for cross-team security workflows.
- Jira integration: Link Attack Surface Center tasks to Jira issues so your development team can manage remediation work within their existing workflow.
- Enhanced reporting: Insights into task completion rates, average resolution times, and team performance to help you identify bottlenecks in your remediation process.

Common questions
Any user with the appropriate permissions within your organisation can create tasks and assign them to other team members. Permissions are managed at the organisation level.
Users receive in-platform notifications for task assignments, status changes, and new comments on tasks they’re involved in. On Advanced plans, these notifications can also be routed to Slack channels via the Slack integration.
Jira integration is on the roadmap and actively being worked on. Sign up and you’ll be notified when it becomes available.
Task management is available from Starter plans and above. See the pricing page for a full plan comparison.
